Resumo: | Introduction: Violence against women can manifest itself through physical, sexual, moral, property and/or psychological violence and is considered the biggest cause of homicide among women. Objective: Carry out a diagnosis of CHAs on knowledge about violence against women and prepare material for permanent health education for CHAs in Basic Health Units in the city of Criciúma-SC. Methods: A descriptive and exploratory approach was adopted for diagnostic research. All CHAs were invited to participate through a structured questionnaire on Google Forms, covering eight thematic blocks, including perception of domestic violence and knowledge of legislation to protect women. Data collection took place from March 13 to July 20, 2023, followed by a simple descriptive analysis, which supported the creation of teaching material in e-book format. Results: 22 CHAs participated in the study, the majority of whom were female (90.9%), white (86.4%), married (72.7%) and with children (90.9%). It was identified that the theme of violence arouses emotions such as anguish, empathy, discomfort and compassion. Regarding knowledge on the topic, 59.1% reported it as regular. With regard to formal and continuing education, 86.4% have already participated in recent activities on the topic. The contribution of the knowledge acquired to professional practice was considered satisfactory by 59.1%. The data shows that 72.7% are interested in participating in specific training courses on violence against women. The diagnosis carried out supported the construction of teaching material in e-book format for continuing education for community health agents, which was structured into five parts: violence against women; rights of women victims of violence, care for women victims of violence; how to identify if I am in a situation of violence; and, a network of care and protection for women who are victims of violence. |
